TELUS Business Solutions is building a new direct-to-farm vertical in Canada that will complement TELUS Agriculture’s focus on international agribusiness. As farms and ranches increasingly digitize their operations, TELUS is poised to play a leadership role in enabling improved farm management and decision making. One of the main assets at TELUS’ disposal is a precision agronomy & farm services company that possesses a key Farm Management application. TELUS is hiring for an experienced sales and operations director that can lead this business into the future, successfully expanding the customer base and broadening its portfolio to meet TELUS’ vision.

Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together:

Own the annual plan to achieve our targets and tightly manage the results to drive a culture of continuous improvement

Grow our sales capability to expand our base of precision agriculture customers, including expanding into new regions

Equip the teams to demonstrate and sell the value farm management technology, including farm management software and connected solutions

Optimize our service delivery model to maximize customer value and retention through process improvement, automation and new technology solutions

Develop the integrated marketing & sales strategy

Partner with the TBS Farm & Ranch product team on the 3yr Software & Connected Solution Roadmap to meet the real needs of our customers with simple and innovative solutions

Inspire the team with a vision of the future of Canadian farming and our opportunity to play a lead role in this transformation

Here’s how:
Enable and guide the team to:
Develop the annual budget, sales targets and compensation plans to achieve our growth goals

Drive transformation programs, including the evolution of our sales teams to support the product roadmap

Discover and drive process improvement and cost efficiency opportunities to drive profitability

Come together as one team with clear goals and key priorities

Collaborate within the TELUS to:
Actively guide and validate our product plans & capabilities

Develop the brand and support the marketing plan to fuel our growth

Identify best practices to implement in Customer Success, Sales, and Operations teams

Qualifications

What you bring:
Results-driven leader with strong financial acumen

Structured thinker that can challenge the team to think differently to drive improvement opportunities

Strong, simple communicator that will inspire and motivate the team and build confidence with the rest of the organization

Confident collaborator across diverse stakeholder groups to bring alignment on our key areas of opportunity

Practical, customer-in understanding of what’s required to be commercially successful with Canadian Farm & Ranch

Comfortable with working in a dynamic environment and a willingness to go deep where required

Outcome oriented and experienced in program management

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or other related fields

Great-to-haves

Ag Tech experience

Direct B2B experience

Understanding of telecom & IT products and solutions
