Draftsperson/CAD Technician

TRK is looking to hire a Draftsperson/CAD technician with a certificate/diploma from an accredited drafting program using AutoCAD with knowledge of AutoCAD 3D modeling.

Your responsibilities:

• Assist in the production of civil/structural designs and drawings that meet client specifications
• Assist in creating full sets of preliminary, construction and as-built drawings based on sketches, site information etc.
• Prepare plan, elevations, section and detail drawings
• Draft detailed drawings for shop fabrication (Steel detailing)
• Work closely with drafting and engineering team to troubleshoot design issues
• Site visits to collect information for producing design drawings and audit reports

Your qualifications

• Possess a diploma or certificate in design and drafting technology or equivalent
• Previous related work experience in a consulting engineering environment is not required, but an asset
• A high level of competency in AutoCAD 2D & 3D is a must
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• 3Ds Max & Photoshop experience an asset
• Experience in the telecommunications sector is an asset

Working hours and environment:

• Full-Time position
• Modern office located in Langley
• Core hours are from 8 AM to 4:30 PM
