Dura-Line is hiring for a NEW CapEx Project Engineer to work remotely in USA. We are looking for someone that has hands on experience managing on-site execution of large capital projects including safety, construction, spending, schedule, regulatory compliance, reporting, equipment installs, start-up and commissioning of functional facilities and processes. Must have great communication skill to manage contractors and/or internal personnel during project installations, work with Procurement on equipment specifications, RFQs and equipment delivery timing, and partner with internal business partners, internal engineering, and contractors to deliver major capital equipment installations and new facility construction.
In this exciting remote role, you will:
Execute assigned large capital equipment installations or new manufacturing site construction to add capacity and capabilities to our operations
Lead and support construction projects (new or expansion), create CAD drawings as needed of layouts or parts, Asset / Capitalization Documentation, and manage the launch of new manufacturing sites, both greenfield and brownfield
Manage $25MM + capital budget , vendors, and suppliers to execute projects – scope, completion, commissioning
Engage with manufacturing teams for critical process improvements and with standardization team to support cross-site activities and evaluate new technology to improve processes
Collaborate with other Dura-Line engineers and managers in evaluating engineering designs and documents, achieving successful project outcomes, and developing improved methods and standards. You will also train & guide Engineers and Operations as needed as they on-board or begin new projects
Our ideal candidate will have at least 8 years project engineering experience , demonstrated ability to manage capital projects with $10MM+ budgets , and have led major capital equipment installations or managed new site construction. You must also have demonstrated strong project management skills, be self-driven, takes initiative, and leads from the start. An Engineering degree is required and must be proficient with AutoCAD ; PMP certification is a Plus
What else is required to be successful in this role?
Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatics systems
Demonstrated ability to work with and provide expertise in maintenance, operations, and process
Working knowledge of engineering and construction standards and practices, ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings, experience working with equipment suppliers on specifying new equipment
Willing and able to travel up to 75% of time during periods of substantial site activity
Ability to manage the efforts of contractors and/or internal personnel during project activity
Someone that can help develop technical leaders at the plants and provide support as needed
