E3 Assistant Professor in Electrical and Electronic Engineering- Optoelectronic and Photonic Technologies for Telecommunications and Sensing

This Assistant Professor in Electronic and Electrical Engineering (Optoelectronic and photonic technologies for Telecommunications and Sensing) will be appointed to contribute to teaching, research and administrative activities in the Discipline of Electronic and Electrical Engineering within the School of Engineering. The post holder will complement the existing staff in the wider Departmental and School areas of Circuits and Systems, Digitial Communication, Digital Media Signal Processing, Bioengineering, Power Management and Control.

Increasingly the research groups in the Department and the School are interdisciplinary. In this recruitment call we are interested in growing our team in Optoelectronic and Photonic Circuits and Systems as it relates to Digital Communications and Sensing. The successful applicant will deliver modules at both the undergraduate and taught MSc level. The successful applicant will also contribute to the growth of the E3 programme across the Faculty.

Post Status Tenure Track – This position is a Tenure Track position which is 5-years in the first instance, permanency is subject to satisfying the tenure requirements.

Salary: Appointment will be made on the Lecturer Salary Scale (109BN) commensurate with qualifications / experience and in line with Public Sector Pay Policy [€38,719 to €94,031 per annum] https://www.tcd.ie/hr/assets/pdf/monthly-academic.pdf
