Job Purpose

Test, evaluate, and troubleshoot products to the component level. Perform repairs and ensure engineering change order (ECO) compliance. Provide technical support to customer service and field representatives as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Test, evaluate, troubleshoot and repair products to the component level

Ensure that all repaired products comply with ECOs

Provide technical support to customer service and field representatives

Complete paperwork and obtain parts using proper procedures

Maintain test histories, charts, and records

Assist in quality and productivity improvement activities

Perform circuit analysis using schematic diagrams

Maintain a clean and safe work area

Apply conformal coating material as required

Move shipping & receiving materials using forklift

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Some experience with electronics

Ability to set up and use an extensive variety of digital and analog test equipment

Understanding logic diagrams and Boolean logic

Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, bill of material (BOMs) and mechanical drawings

Proficiency with oscilloscope, VOM, and other test equipment

Familiarity with computers and use of application software

Available weekends and after hours when on call

Able to read/speak/write English

Preferred Qualifications

Associates Degree in Electronics/Technician Certificate from an accredited technical source; including digital electronics and microprocessor training

Surface-mount soldering/desoldering skills

Prior SAP experience
