LambdaGain is currently looking for the right person to join our team of production technicians.

Key Functions:
LambdaGain production technicians report to the production manager.
You will be given daily or weekly production targets with set deadlines. You will be responsible for the assembly, configuration and testing of various LambdaGain products, including plug-in transceivers (SFP and XFP modules) and passive optical modules (WDM multiplexers and splitters).
- DOA Filtering, In-Process Testing and Quality Assurance: Perform inspections to ensure productions meet physical, optical and electrical specifications.Product manufacturing and customization: assemble discrete optical parts, label and package products, read and write EEPROM.
- Data recording in ERP: record in real time the hardware test results and the production stage.
Most tasks require:
- handle sensitive ESD equipment, fiber optics, lasers, transceivers, WDM modules and couplers;
- use optical test and measurement equipment (power meters, wavemeters, endoscopic cameras, optical spectrum analyzers, etc.) and telecommunications equipment (switches, BERT and traffic analyzers);
- work with an Oracle ERP system and MS Office tools.
Education, skills and qualifications required:
- Cégep DEC / CED or equivalent
- Experience in high tech manufacturing
- Knowledge of fiber optics is preferable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP manufacturing environment
- Fluency in spoken and written English and French
We accept postgraduate student interns for the summer period in the Montreal area. To qualify, applicants must be full-time students, and be available for the full term of the summer opportunity (May 2022 – August 2022).
LambdaGain solutions enable service providers and large companies to significantly increase the use of existing fibre deployments in the metropolitan and wide area networks. The portfolio includes passive optical multiplexing equipment WWDM (Wideband WDM), CWDM (Coarse WDM), DWDM (Dense WDM), PON splitters and plug-in optical transceivers.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $17.25-$23.50 per hour
