Are you an experienced Pre-Sales Consultant who could provide advice for game-changing, enterprise-wide Telecom Transformation services in the Telecom industry vertical? Do you want to be a hero to Dell´s Telecom customers by resolving their complex Telecom issues?

Help build solutions catering to the worldwide telecom market, which is exploding with new and exciting opportunities offered by new developments such as 5G, Edge Computing, Internet of Things, Telco Open and Dis-aggregated network Architecture, and Virtual/Cloud Native Network Functions.

The Pre-Sales Consultant works within our Dell Technologies Services (DTS) business unit and is responsible for leading the Telecom Transformation services solution definition in close alignment with the Services Sales, Services Delivery, Solution Partners and in collaboration with the broader account teams to position the Dell solution that best meets customer requirements and expected outcomes. Telecom Transformation services at Dell cover a wide range of technologies and solutions and span across our Consulting, Deployment, Residency, Support and Managed services, all aligned with our product portfolio (Storage, Data Protection, Servers, Converged/Hyperconverged infrastructure, Network) and our partner eco-system´s solutions.

What you’ll achieve:

In this senior Services Pre-sales role, you will work with existing Dell Telecom customers across EMEA or prospects. With your Telecom subject matter expertise with 4G/5G wireless (Public/Private), vRAN/Open RAN, Virtualized Telco, Core, Edge and Transport network design, deployment, system integration, optimization, and network management, you will delight our customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.

You will create credibility for Dell Technologies Services, provide thought-leadership and evangelize regarding our Dell Technologies Services brand in the Telecom industry vertical. You will contribute to successfully sell Dell Technologies solutions and overachieve our services sales plans.

You Will:

  • Engage in highly complex Telecom accounts and will lead the development of customer presentations up to C-level management, workshops, executive briefings, requirements gathering, solution design, Services responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Statements of Work (SOW) creation and review, effort estimation. Act as the Services Pre-Sales solution owner and contribute to the sales pursuit strategy, support deal negotiation and closure and transition of work to the delivery organization through appropriate practice management.

  • Collaborate cross functionally across Dell’s Telecom Systems Business unit and with its solution partner eco-system.

  • Be recognized for your Services solution pre-sales subject-matter expertise and thought-leadership in the Telecom industry vertical.

  • Be part of an EMEA team of Pre-Sales Consultants and work on opportunities across EMEA. You will work in an international, multi-cultural environment. In addition to being engaged on opportunities and sales programs you will also work with our services portfolio team, enablement functions and the broader, regional, Pre-Sales Consultants community.

Essential Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience of acting as a customer facing solution lead, pre-sales consultant, solution architect (or similar) and proven skills and experience in constructing and tailoring services solutions (requirements gathering, scope services, assemble effort estimates, plan programs and work packages, write SoW, answer RFI/RFP) for customers in the Telecom industry, such as Telecom service providers, solution vendors or system integrators. Thorough understanding of a services P&L and cash flow development (including business impact), risk analysis and commercial models such as Fixed Price, T&M and incorporation of 3rd party contracts.

  • Ability to translate customer vision and requirements into technical services and solution for pre-sales motions, service delivery and execution.

  • Expert level experience in Telecom Transformations including Telco Cloud/NFVI, Disaggregated Core, Edge, RAN (v/ORAN), and Private Mobility/5G solutions, Telecom virtualization – OpenStack/VMs, Containers/Kubernetes

  • Expert level knowledge of Telecom services from Consulting, Advisory, Architecture, Design, Deployment, Systems Integration, Testing, Operations, Managed Services & Support

  • 5+ years’ experience of Automation – DevOps, CI/CD and cloud-native agile delivery

  • 5+ years’ experience of disaggregation & multi-vendor systems integration

Desirable Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Dell Technologies´ product and services portfolio.

  • Relevant industry certification
