Your Role and Responsibilities
- As the Solution Architect, you will recommend, and leverage needed technologies, architectures, integrated solutions, and tooling to enable the sales and services delivery teams across the organization.
- Be the voice of the squad in architectural discussions involving the solution, technology stack, and new features, ensuring development efforts meet voice requirements.
- Bring thought leadership from both a business and technical perspective when assessing possible solutions to presented problems;
- Provide technical clarification of requirements and design of the most appropriate solution.
- Perform Site Assessments of existing infrastructure/solutions and document as required.
- Design and sign-off of solution/service.
- Implementation, integration, and test solutions/service.
- Interface with the product owners, business stakeholders, project managers and other members of the technical team in support of project delivery as needed.
- Assume accountability for the delivery and success of projects where you have been involved in the technical design and solutioning.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience with telecommunications, telephony, and voice technologies as used in the large enterprise.
- Experience in Troubleshooting complex Voice Networks.
- Experience in configuring Voice Network and configuration
- Understanding of telco circuits (E1, T1, SIP trunks), and associated sizing algorithms.
- Core technology: Cisco Voice Gateway, Oracle Communications product line including ECB, SBC, EOM, SDM, Cloud infrastructure and solutions.
- Phone Systems: Cisco Call Manager, Other non-Cisco voice platforms
- CCNP/CCIE Voice, other non-Cisco voice platforms certifications.
- Experience with LAN and WAN networks
- Basic Project Management
- Vendor Coordination
- MS Office, Jira, Trello, Slack, Wireshark, Visio including creation of network diagrams
- Incident Management / Crisis Management / Change Management Knowledge:
- Risk and Security compliance for Voice technology
- Remote diagnostic and Problem Determination
- Good command of English written and verbal skills
Relocation to UK not necessary.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Need someone who is self-Driven, being able to communicate and document voice solutions to wide audience.
- Can bridge the gap from business requirements to technical solutions.
- Need someone who can be a detective and is willing to dig into why problems are happening, and why things are working the way they do.
- Can create reference designs and make technical recommendations on SIP call flow handling and associated characteristics.
- We often need to drive our vendors to solutions, and this level of detailed analysis is key to our success with the vendors.
- Determine and communicate country/site level technical requirements for voice solutions. Including analysis of Telco Variations in Country – SIP trunks, E1/T1, DID/DDI delivery, codecs, cloud infrastructure and solutions, emergency dialing, etc.
About Business Unit
Deploy owns the integrity of the network, maintenance of the network asset base, capacity management of the core network and all associated changes.
- Owns and Manages Voice service end to end
- Deploys new technology changes from the Strategy, Engineering & Architecture team are rolled out by the Deploy organization
- Manages the IT project activity associated with Global Real Estate site projects
