End To End (E2E) Design Technical Architect

We are building world class, software-driven networking products and looking to hire E2E Design Technical Architects in Germany to support new product initiatives that will be deployed across large telecom operator networks across the world. The ideal Architect will have more than ten years with deep expertise in Telecom domain / software industry spanning broadband network technologies, IP and Cloud networking as well as state-of-the art software design patters from both traditional products and transformational products (disaggregated, virtualized, and based on open-source software).

Responsibilities

• Will have design and implementation ownership of components of the products and solutions
• Will assure those components match into the E2E software and system architecture
• Will significantly contribute to the E2E design of our solutions
• Will define architectures and designs in close cooperation with our strategic customers
• Will architect products in consultation with engineering/software developers, PLM, pre-sales, and customers
• Will contribute to and work on strategic wins
• Will be required to provide periodic presentations to Radisys Senior Leadership and Customers.
• Will focus on system scalability, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Masters / Bachelor in any discipline of Engineering (e.g. Computer Science)
• Deep knowledge of Telecom with broadband technologies in service provider networks, ranging from access to core networks is a must.
• Strong background on software architectures, microservices and CI/CD principles
• Experience with deploying product at scale in a carrier grade network
• SDN and NFV
• Broadband Forum and 3GPP architectures
• Management and Orchestration, OSS/BSS, processes, and data models
• Practitioner of Agile/SCRUM/SAFe
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Organized with a strong attention to detail where needed
• Ability to document system designs and requirements
• Positive attitude and comfortable with a fluid and fast-moving environment
• Must be fluent in both English and German (speaking and writing)
