The engineering team is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer, Operating Technologies for the Vancouver office to support the growth of Innergex and the existing team.
Your contribution to the team!
Under the responsibility of the Director – Engineering, you will participate in the maintenance, upgrade, implementation and technical assistance of control systems and cybersecurity strategies for renewable energy plants (wind, hydro, solar, storage) for our facilities in Canada, USA, Chile, France.

Your day-to-day!
- Manage and maintain the asset of the company’s power generation plant operating technologies including control, communication and networking systems, automation, electrical protection, monitoring, security, production equipment, energy resource data collection.
- Design, review, improve plant architecture elements (physical security and electronic security perimeter, flow diagrams, network diagrams, data point lists, backup plans, etc.) of Innergex’s operating facilities.
- Review and manage operational elements of electronic assets (categorization of information on assets, integrators, backup strategies, criticality of equipment, impacts on a software update, presence of redundancy, spare parts, IP addresses, management passwords, software versions, equipment or software life cycle);
- Participate and support the development of specifications for new projects. Support supplier/subcontractor selection and oversee project execution;
- Lead the implementation of O.T. software updates for operating facilities;
- Participate in the commissioning O.T. systems at Innergex’s existing and new facilities;
- Troubleshoot and investigate O.T. problems at Innergex’s operating facilities (remotely or on site).
Your skills, our requirements!
- Computer engineering, electrical engineering or a computer science degree or technician degree in telecom and control/automation technologies or any pertinent experience.
- Qualifies for registration as a Professional Engineer (EIT) or have a Professional Engineer designation is considered an asset.
- 1 to 5 (years)
- Computer, Office suite, special tools for investigation

- The position could be based in Vancouver, BC or Montreal, QC;
- Occasional travel (30%) to operating sites.
