Role purpose:
- The Enterprise Architect of Digital BSS GCU role is responsible for defining the architectural roadmap to create reusable Digital BSS platform for Vodafone Markets. The Digital BSS Platform will be architected to work on Vodafone’s Global TaaS Platform that is running within AWS Cloud Environment. Principal Architect is expected to own the enabler epics to achieve that vision.
- The Principal Architect of Digital BSS GCU role plays an active role both in the execution and architectural governance processes. While the role acts as team member in the Agile Squad, he/she also leads the architectural runway by creating architectural artifacts as delivery.
- The role requires leading a team of technical people from multiple parties including software vendors(e.g. PIA), system integrators(e.g. VOIS) and Vodafone.
- The role needs to foster agile working principles. The Principle Architect supports the team to define the enabler backlog items and prioritize them considering the defined milestones.
- The Principal Architect works with the team collaboratively to create and maintain an architecture repository where all architectural artifacts are documented.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Co-Leading the workstream for applying Digital BSS Platform on Vodafone’s Global Cloud Environment.(Ideally TaaS)
- Supporting the preparation of Architecture Artifacts.
- Definition of product roadmap and milestones.
- Supporting portfolio governance process.
- Providing technical guidance.
- Supporting the Architecture Runway of the implementation. Definition of Enabler Epics and Features.
- Communicating with vendor and system integrator to align the GCU roadmap with the vendor roadmap.
- Communicating with Stakeholders for roadmap alignment, progress review and strategy alignment.
- Creating and maintaining Technical-Debt Registry
Competencies, knowledge & experience:
- A proven track of telecom experience for 10+years.
- Past BSS Transformation Project Experience.(Ideally 2 projects)
- Knowledge of BSS Domain capabilities and architecture.(CRM, Order Management, Product Catalog)
- Ability communicate with project stakeholders.
- Previous experience of working with Agile Frameworks like SAFE, LeSS. SAFE experience is preferred.
- Previous experience of project delivery on AWS Cloud Environment.
- DevOps experience ideally with Azure DevOps.
- Hands on knowledge with Kubernetes, Docker, microservice implementation using Java Spring Boot.
- Extensive knowledge around TMF Open API Standards. Previous experience of API development using TMF Open API Standards using Swagger
- Knowledge of Security Architecture for API/Application and Cloud.
- Knowledge of Application Monitoring Tools on Cloud.
