Job Summary

Working closely with AUSA’s CEO, AUSA CFO and the telecommunications executive team, the EVP, CFO Telecommunications will elevate the partnership with cross-functional teams and business leaders to deliver operating budget performance for the company’s Optimum business and own the disciplined oversight of the operational business intelligence and key performance KPIs. This key role will be responsible for revenue maximization through evaluation of pricing and promotions, oversight of capital and operating expenditures, evaluation of the viability and profitability of new business opportunities, and competitive analysis. Paramount to success in this role will be establishing and driving a data driven culture to enable fast, informed decisions about revenue, costs and profitability. As the most senior leader within the AUSA Telecommunications Finance team, this role will focus on building processes and structure that ensure the organization is driving forward from a financial operations perspective and focus.


Responsibilities


Impact Of Role:

  • Actively partner with Optimum senior leaders and business planning teams to set, monitor, and deliver on operating budget performance, including the build-out of robust and disciplined forecasting.
  • Establish an associated culture of discipline and accuracy, where delivering on-plan performance is the expectation.
  • Responsible for financial management of the capital expenditure investment plan for the Optimum business.
  • Lead the build-out of long-term plans for the Optimum business, along with associated financial planning and analysis.
  • Strategically partner with Optimum business leaders to drive subscriber performance, maximize revenue/ARPU, instill disciplined expense management, and identify opportunities for strategic investments to drive growth.
  • Ensure the organization has processes in place to regularly assess budget and budget performance of the Optimum business.
  • Oversee strategic pricing activities, ensuring optimal pricing and packaging is applied in diverse markets to achieve both customer and financial growth.
  • Partner with key business leaders to ensure alignment on and delivery against key market and customer growth priorities, including market penetration target (stretch and attainable).
  • Build out and fully leverage business intelligence to drive informed data-driven decisions on key actions and opportunities aimed at strengthening the company’s competitive position, and operational and financial health.
  • Provide clear actions and communication to senior business leadership on established financial and operational leading and lagging indicators and performance against them.
  • Provide profitability analysis for current and prospective products/services, markets, and promotions in partnership with key business leaders.
  • Escalate critical financial issues through appropriate executive leaders and operational channels to ensure monthly/quarterly performance goals are achieved.
  • Provide recommendations on expenditure and revenue requirements to better align the organization on major corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies.
  • Monitor market trends to predict customer behavior, plan new investments, and ensure existing products continue to meet customer needs in the diverse markets in which Optimum operates.

  • Strong thought leadership with subject matter expertise to drive passion amongst larger team and inspire confidence in the information and insights provided by the finance function.
  • Evolving the use of business intelligence to gain financial and operational insights that will promote operational efficiency, increased profitability, and competitive advantage.
  • Ability to regularly be present in Altice USA Headquarters in Long Island City, NY.
  • Strong stakeholder partnership across key leadership roles.


Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA preferred
  • 12+ years of operationally focused financial management experience
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities, and extensive experience with financial planning, capital and revenue planning, forecasting, modeling, and data analysis
  • Experience in telecommunications, media, and/or technology required
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and build effective business partnerships at senior levels of the organization
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills including the ability to establish key operational metrics, summarize and interpret results, and develop strategic, actionable recommendations for leadership decision making

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $300,000.00 – $375,000.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
