Experience Wireless Telecom Technician

The position of telecommunication technician involves the installation, reparation and maintenance of telecommunication equipment . The work is carried out in towers, cell site, on rooftop or inside industrial and commercial buildings. The telecommunication technician works constantly as a team and could be called upon to travel throughout Alberta or other provinces for specific projects.

Our telecommunication tower technician performs the following duties:

• Install, remove and maintain various telecommunications equipment and related systems including microwave
• Inspect and verify the operation of telecommunications equipment;
• Diagnose and locate equipment failures and adjust, replace or repair faulty or damaged telecommunications equipment.
• Inspect and test systems;
• Analyze test results and adjust, modify or repair as needed;
• Establish the nature, cause and location of the failure or malfunction, if any.

Experience and skills required:

• Mastering installation, testing and commissioning of Ericsson’s equipment and microwave
• Have skills for interpersonal communication.
• Have a logical and scientific mind
• Have manual dexterity
• Be autonomous
• Able to travel when require

Required profile:

• Have a valid driver’s license
• Hold a professional study diploma in installation and repair of telecommunications equipment would be an advantage.
