We are seeking talented, self-directed sales professionals to join our Federal Sales Team with a specific focus on DoD (Department of Defense).

The responsibilities of the Sales Executive include overseeing daily sales activities, deal shaping, responding to RFIs and RFPs, meeting and managing prospective clients; partnering to uncover their needs and deliver custom solutions that add value and solve their strategic business priorities.

Your success will require the ability to drive the sales process forward and guide prospects through the process working with and through multiple layers within the organization and key stakeholders. You will serve as a product and services advocate. Work seamlessly with an extended account team, system integrator partners, and operations

Within this role you will:

  • Utilize consultative selling skills to identify key trends, uncover customer needs and leverage industry knowledge and applications to find and close sales opportunities
  • Create and implement strategic sales strategies to successfully position MetTel to secure targeted projects in a competitive environment
  • Lead and advise prospects and stakeholders through the sales process to a successful close.
  • Develop a deep comprehension of customer’s business and our solutions
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness when faced with challenges that defy easy solution
  • Demonstrate intuitive sense of necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation
  • Ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency
  • Assist in developing responses for Request for Proposals and presenting products and services that can benefit prospects or clients.
  • Acts as the primary product and technical advocate, evangelizing across products within our portfolio and across the business.
  • Identify and develop strategies to drive cross-selling scenarios and attach points across product/service area(s).
  • Focus the sales effort around identifying and fulfilling clients’ current and future needs
  • Prepare accurate and thorough sales activity reports, forecast reports and expense tracking

To be confident and positioned for success the ideal candidate will meet most of this criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical related field.
  • Minimum of seven years business development experience/solution sales.
  • Minimum of four years’ experience selling to Federal Government and US Department of Defense, Telecommunications or Technology solutions
  • Experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles.
  • Experience with reports, proposals, statements of work and/or business correspondence.
  • Ability to build personal relationships with prospects and clients; must be organized and self-motivating.
  • Proven successful track record of quota achievement in previous sales roles.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and effective marketing tactics.
  • Experience in acquiring net new business and expanding existing account relationships.
  • Creative thinker and should possess the ability to resolve critical problems.
  • Must be a team player willing to wear many hats when asked.
