CAVCOMM, LLC is a full service telecommunications cable installation company specializing in Fiber Optics. With over 30 years of combined experience capable of installation, termination, and testing fiber optic, copper and coaxial cables for both ISP and OSP applications.

LINEMAN JOB DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:

Core Responsibilities

• Crew Member
• Set up traffic control ladders and signs Manage bucket truck, drive vehicle to worksite
• Climb poles
• Adhere to pole and line safety standards
• Reading blue prints, maps, and bill of materials
• Perform make ready on poles
• Aerial construction
• Pull underground cable /fiber
• Load work vehicles with required materials for day’s work
• Load reel trailers with, strand, fiber, or cable.
• Emergency Restoration
• On call for after-hours emergencies

Requirements:

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Consistently make field decisions
• Interact with customers
• Utilize Microsoft office/email
• CDL LICENSE not required but is a Plus.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma.
• Must possess strong problem solving, decision making, analytical skills and organizational skills.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and follow written procedures.
• Attend work on time as scheduled.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle. Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license. Must have a responsible driving record
• 2 years experience in Aerial/Underground telecom builds for IT assignments
• Must be willing to travel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Aerial/Underground Fiber Construction: 1 year (Preferred)
• Lineman: 1 year (Required)
