Looking for a Fiber Optic Cable Splicer , based at Warsaw, IN Manufacturing to join our GROWING business. Responsible for operation of fiber optic fusion slicing machine to fuse bare fibers in a manufacturing setting. We need top performers to join our team to ensure that we drive great customer services.

What you’ll do:

• Position interprets the Production Work Order/Build Plan to determine exact fibers required
• Position must have excellent eyesight including the ability to distinguish colors
• Position requires extremely fine motor skills as it will be fusing delicate optical fibers
• Position utilizes a fusion machine that is delicate and requires caution when moving the machine between locations
• Must understand and follow KGP Safety practices.
• Must practice quality awareness and could implement quality control processes and procedures.
• Must learn and demonstrate the proper use of tools.
• Performs cable splicer/fuser procedures.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some experience preferred, willing to train
• Possesses basic understanding of electromechanical processes

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
