Fiber Optic Installation Supervisor (FTTH)

The Fiber Optic Installation Supervisor is responsible for managing, planning, and organizing FTTH installation projects within an assigned territory. This role will coordinate and monitor field operations within the Long Island region, ensuring safe and efficient work, and overseeing all personnel and materials.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3 years of previous experience in the telecommunications industry with at least 1 year of management experience
• Associate’s degree or equivalent
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
• Understanding of local, state and federal construction regulations
• Knowledge and safe use of required power and hand tools
• Organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization and multitasking
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project)
• Must be able lift 40 lbs.
• Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Must be able to travel within the U.S. and hold a valid Driver’s license
• Must be able to work in normal office conditions, construction, and field environment

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate and monitor field operations for projects they are assigned within the Long Island region
• Maintain project administration in a correct and timely manner
• Order materials and equipment, and project-manage all of the necessary permits
• Accomplishes construction human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, and training employees
• Manage sub-contractors by locating, evaluating, and selecting contractors
• Prevent fines and work interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, codes
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following guidelines, standards, and procedures
