Fiber Optic Technician (for Prince George, BC.)

CONNEXTIONS LTD is looking to hire focused and dedicated individuals to be trained as Telecommunication Technicians representing one of Canada’s leading service providers – DSL, TV, Home Phone & Smart Home Security.

Service work areas we are hiring for include Prince George, BC and surrounding area—Must reside in this area or are willing to relocate.

Full time Sub-contractor and In-house employee positions available.

NOTE: JOB LOCATION: PRINCE GEORGE, BC. – MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE!

Responsibilities:

• Install and repair DSL, TV, Home Phone and Home Security systems.

• Provide best in class customer experience.

• Identify customers’ needs, explain various products and provide tutorials on equipment.

• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Experience:

• Previous experience is preferred but not necessary.

• Familiarity with hand and power tools

• Ability to handle physical workload; working from Heights in various weather conditions.

• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

Position Requirements

• Minimum: High School diploma, post secondary diploma preferred.

• Basic computer skills and understanding of common consumer electronic devices.

• Must have a valid driver’s license

• Will undergo a security background check

• Subcontractor is required to provide their own work vehicle and tools – work van rental option is available upon approval.

• Optional In-house employee position is available to qualified applicants.

Compensation:

• Paid training allowance.

• Sign-on bonus paid after training.

• Guaranteed minimum weekly compensation for first eight weeks.

• Hourly and Piece work pay

• Quarterly performance bonus

• Commission pay

• installation and cabling: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
• hand tools and power tools: 1 year (Preferred)
• computer skill: 1 year (Required)
