Job Title: Fiber Engineer – Quality Planning Auditor – Fiber (FTTH)
Location: Remote
The Quality Planning Auditor (QPA) is expected to understand the current FTTH ISP & OSP architecture.
This person will review and audit all material and labor detail, listed on a planning estimate.
The QPA will need to have intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, such as Conditional formatting, lookup functions, & pivoting data, in order to fully audit and approve/reject a planner’s estimate, map, and whatever technical detail that would need to be reviewed.
Client needs a person to give a thorough quality analysis to prevent errors from reaching to the next Grant Admin/Financial teams.
- The Grant Planning (GP) team is mostly responsible for vetting and planning FTTH ISP & OSP in rural and urban areas, utilizing BSA (Broadband Service Availability), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft PowerPoint, and sometimes QGIS.
- GP works with the current Grant Strategy team on new opportunities of expanding FTTH in grant-eligible areas, where Government allows subsidies to areas that are currently unserved (less than 25m/3m speeds) and underserved (less than 100m/20m speeds).
- GP adheres to install FTTH, in which provides cost estimates to implement Frontiers current, approved FTTH speed profile. GP also provides technical detail, such as Maps, Project Descriptions, Bill of Materials, etc. Sometimes we are asked to provide further detailed data analytics to address a market that is under consideration for a Public Private Partnership (PPP).
- The Quality Planning Auditor (QPA) is expected to understand the current FTTH ISP & OSP architecture.
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour

Experience:
- AutoCAD: 1 year (Preferred)
