Reporting to the Vice President of Cascades Recovery+ Operations, the Fiber Procurement Transport Director actively participates in establishing, implementing and measuring operational strategies, processes, policies and systems related to daily planning and operational excellence in the execution of shipments across the network, distribution and transportation carriers. In collaboration with the customer service department and regional transport managers, you ensure that the logistics activities are aligned with customers’ requests. You define the action priorities through rigorous management and tracking of the performance indicators and costs associated with fiber logistics and transport. You develop innovative improvement proposals and provide support to your business partners in line with Cascades’ business vision. As a result, you contribute to the operational excellence of the fiber logistics and transport process throughout the company.

Ensure the application of good practices and the efficiency and quality of logistics/transportation activities.
Direct priorities and actions to be taken by analyzing operational and budgetary performance indicators.
Coordinate and prioritize the logistics ⁄ transportation activities to be carried out with their team.
Apply the principles of excellence in accordance with the business vision focused on business partners.
Ensure training of the SBU’s key LE-WM players (reference expertise for plants).
Ensure the mobilization and development of your employees.
Track performance indicators.

Provide plants with logistics and transportation support.
Analyze transportation costs.

Experiences and strengths
5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations management or the equivalent
Understanding of logistics industry and associated rules and regulations
Leadership and a collaborative spirit that inspire and engage teams to achieve excellence
Deep understanding of carrier operations that encompasses all modes of transportation (including dedicated fleet) in business and daily carrier operations
Critical thinker, problem-solver and decision-maker
Process-oriented in tandem with creativity, innovation, flexibility
Rigor and agility to handle projects in accordance with their scope, budget and timelines
Proven ability to improve the efficiency and performance of the activities under your responsibility
A keen sense of collaboration that leads to effective communication with collaborators at various levels
