We are looking for a Fiber Optic Splicer experienced personal for our client who is in Brampton, ON. The position falls under NOC: B criteria. They are specialized in Optical Network Repair. They are diversified Inside and Outside Plant infrastructure build contractor, servicing major telecommunication and utility companies across Ontario.
STR1
Responsibilities:
- Splice and test various types of fiber optic cable
- Troubleshoots system problems for various customers
- Able to read system maps
- Can operate all types of splicing and testing equipment
- Will document all required information as the work happens
- Will perform all other duties as required by departmental manager
Requirements:
- Must be able to carry and climb a twenty-eight-foot extension ladder weighing 80 pounds
- Must be well organized and be able to work well individually and as part of a team
- Will work at heights near hydro and within confined spaces.
- Will set up and work safely on high traffic roads according to Book 7 standards
- Will work in all weather conditions, day, night, or weekends with possible overnight
stays
Location: Brampton, ON
Timings: Mon – Fri (flexible shift)
Pay Rate: $20-35/hr. depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Brampton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- telecommunication: 4 years (preferred)
