Position Summary:

As the Field Operations Technician Assistant, you will be working with field techs to help in their daily activities which includes wireless installs, service calls, and surveys. This position is a learning opportunity with the goal of becoming a Field Operations Technician. Training will be available to those that take the opportunity to advance their skills and knowledge base. Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue training will be offered immediately, with successful completion and proof of capabilities after a 90-day review period increased compensation will be available.

Field Operations Assistant critical responsibilities:

  • Organize and Maintains warehouse, checks in new equipment and organizes shelves.
  • Assists Field Operations techs with day-to-day activities including installs, service calls, Infrastructure installs and Maintenance, etc.
  • Maintain and organize work vehicles.
  • Interacting and Training customers on equipment and resources.
  • Learning how to use tools and techniques required to complete field tasks
  • Attending and succeeding in training opportunities as they become available, for example Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue, Roof Safety, Fiber construction, FTTH installs and troubleshooting.

Qualifications of a strong candidate:

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Must possess, or have the ability to gain a Forklift Certification upon hire
  • Understanding of telecommunications industry, products, and services
  • Ability to adapt to rapid changes
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, listening)
  • Critical thinking skills (e.g., customer complaints, troubleshooting)
  • PC computer skills
  • Time management skills
  • High School Diploma equivalent

Work Requirements:

**May be required to work 8-hour or 10-hour shifts – including non-traditional tours. May be required to work; day, evening, night, or weekend tours, overtime, emergency callouts, weekends, and holidays required**

The Field Operations Technician Assistant will receive a competitive salary based on qualifications.
