Position Summary:

The Field Inventory Project Manager provides project management for utility mapping and data collecting projects. The Project Manager is accountable for developing and implementing a viable plan and team which executes the scope of the project, ensuring overall project safety & financial health.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a well-performing, field-based utility auditing & mapping team from scratch
  • Serve as a single point of contact, establishing, nurturing and managing customer expectations regarding the project performance and building long-term relationships for DRG.
  • Develop, optimize and update project schedules for multiple, simultaneous large projects using project scheduling software, as necessary.
  • Maintain financial tracking and project management systems, including the ability to run and analyze key reports, and development of recovery plans as required.
  • Manage project performance (scope, safety, quality, schedule, cost, and customer satisfaction) to meet or beat target goals.
  • Foster collaborative and partnering relationships with supporting teams to deliver successful projects.
  • Ensure compliance with DRG Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in proposal and bid development as required.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) essential with management, project team, contractors, and customer, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent computer skills, and experience with Google Chrome or Microsoft software (Sheets, Excel, Powerpoint, Video conferencing etc.)
  • Understanding of field operations, contract administration & management, processes & standards, with emphasis on the utility industry.
  • BS degree in Project Management, GIS, Engineering or equivalent related industry experience.
  • Relevant field experience of 5 years with project management exposure or experience.
  • Experience in project planning and priority scheduling.
  • Ability to prioritize and work with limited direct supervision.
  • The ideal candidate would thrive while traveling from location to location within the contiguous United States on a regular and ongoing basis.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working full time with a minimum of 45 – 50 hours per week.

Compensation based on experience. DRG offers excellent benefits including: health, dental, vision and life insurance after 30 days of employment. Phone reimbursement and use of company vehicle. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
