Field Service Engineer

MCG Utilities is a Team Driven environment. The Engineering Division works closely with all the other Divisions within MCG. MCG started out in the Telecommunications Industry. MCG has since expanded into the entire Utilities Industry. Water, Sewer, Renewable Energies to name a few. The Engineering Division supports ALL the different Divisions within MCG.

MCG has a team environment that includes offices in PA, OH, VA and GA. MCG is looking for a person that is self-motivated and willing to learn.

Position Description

The selected person will be involved in all areas of existing and new projects. This will include but not limited to: Field Collection, Pulling Utility Records, Utility Route Design, Permitting with various Local, State and Federal Agencies. Lastly the closeout and asbuilts drawings of said projects.

Position Responsibilities

• Data Collection in the field
• Inside Plant Design to client meet me point.
• Working with One Call records requests.
• Working with Utility Companies.
• Designing aerial and underground routes from point A to B in the most cost-effective method of construction.
• Reviewing design to make sure it meets customer standard specs.
• Completing and Submitting Permits to various agencies.
• Working with CAD department to make revisions for permits and/or construction.
• Working with excel spreadsheets to track various areas of projects.
• Collecting Asbuilts

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate will have 0-3 years of experience but is not required.
• Self-Motivated
• Well versed in Excel Spreadsheets and functionality of Excel.
• Candidate will be able to travel on a as needed bases.
• Have attention to detail
• Be able to meet deadlines
• Candidate will be punctual
