Day-to-Day *
Insight Global is seeking a few Telecom Field Validation Specialists to join the GIS Technical team for one of our national engineering clients in Detroit, Michigan. These individuals will work mostly in the field and will be responsible for locating and mapping broadband assets which will ultimately contribute to the develop of field validated maps of broadband infrastructure. The Telecom Field Validation Specialists will be responsible, but no limited to:
– Work 50hrs a week with the option to work additional hours.
– Either driving or ride with another Telecom Validation Specialist (50% driving/50% riding as a passenger) in a provided company vehicle.
– Research publicly available data sources and collect data and – information regarding telecommunications providers.
– Data collection includes, but is not limited to, details on infrastructure locations as well as feedback on where broadband services start and stop to assist in developing more accurate broadband maps.
– Track and submit telecommunications data to the GIS department following standard data format requirements using mapping applications.
– Travel to project locations for field work, to assist with technology assessments, outside plant audits, mobile drive testing, grant close-out packages, and other field validation and verification work (e.g., grant protests), etc.
– Responsibilities are not all inclusive, additional duties may be assigned.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $21.00 – $25.00 per hour
