To keep up with our rapid growth, we are looking for Field Service Technicians to join our growing team.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform the tasks relating to various hardware installation projects according to the assignment of work orders.
- Plan and perform, according to the technical specifications and directives received, the layout, installation, modifications and removal of vehicular scanning units, computer systems, as well as different types of vehicular scanning equipment
- Perform all assigned on site installation, calibration, repair, maintenance, and test tasks;
- Consult the technical documentation of the installation;
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions while performing the installation;
- Cooperate with the onsite technical team and share information across the organization
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
- Build positive relationships with team members and clients
- Participate in pre-production and training meetings as needed;
- Produce timely and detailed service reports;
- Ensure the necessary equipment to perform all the requested work is available;
- Execute the work in accordance with the client’s expectations;
- Report non-standard situations to the project manager;
- Project a professional image and keep their work site clean before, during, and after the installation;
- Must complete work by deadline;
- Other related tasks.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Previous Field Service or Mechanical Technician experience;
- 1 year of cabling experience;
- Experience with vehicular hardware installations and maintenance (12V electrical experience) is an asset;
- Experience with the installations of AV & telecommunications equipment (In ground scanners, Monitors, Security & Surveillance Cameras, CCTV, Sonar, etc.) is an asset;
- Posts, Railing installation experience (drilling into concrete, bricks, etc.);
- Ability and knowledge to use power and hand tools, i.e., using a voltmeter, cable testers;
- Professional written & oral communication skills (listening, speaking, and writing);
- Ability to demonstrate strong customer-facing skills (verbal communication, empathizing, patience, presentation/attire);
- Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules;
- High physical work capacity (ability to lift weights of up to 35 pounds) and ability to perform prolonged work safely;
- Availability and authorization to travel frequently within the state and/or out of the state is required.
