Low voltage telecommunications company, specializing in the retail and restaurant space.

We are looking for an A-team cabling and POS installation technician to join our growing team around Los Angeles,CA and the surrounding Area as a highly utilized W-2

Responsible for installation of various types of cable plant including twisted pair, coaxial, stranded cable, solid conductor low voltage cable, single and multi-mode fiber optical cable. Installation includes placement, termination, grounding and bonding, testing, labeling and documentation.

Candidate will install, terminate, test, label and document horizontal, backbone & other cables (CAT5, CAT 5e, Cat 6, Fiber).

Candidate will be capable of installing cable pathway systems (cable trays, cable racks, j-hooks, d-rings) Installations will include dressing and routing of cable into telecommunications closets, modular furniture and other work area outlets.

All work will be accomplished in accordance with ANSI/EIA/TIA standards and national electrical code as well as national and state environmental, health and safety policy. Work may include reviewing potential job prospects and/or conducting site surveys and developing estimates.

Candidate will also install POS devices, wireless access points, IP and coaxial security cameras, camera housings, computers, motion detectors, switches and routers (already configured), and other network devices.

Candidate will be required to exert heavy physical effort at times including carrying of loads up and down stairs and ladders.

Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

This job will on occasion require working from heights such as lifts, ladders, scaffolding and rooftops. Working environment may include exposure to noisy or dusty conditions; chemicals & solvents; mechanical, electrical and other hazards typical to a cable plant installation.

Requirements:

Must have own vehicle for work. Vehicle must be reliable, we pay for mileage and travel time

Lastly for W-2’s we need technicians ready for overtime and being on-call for weekends

and holidays.

Experience in cable installation (CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6, coax-RG6, RG59, and RG11). Analog Telephone knowledge is prefered (110 & 66 Blocks). However, techs from cable companies such as comcast and dish, transition into this role very well.

Excellent customer skills and focus and strong interpersonal skills Ability to lift 50 lbs or more. (Min req.)

Must have a clean and valid Driver’s License, Vehicle Registration and Proof of Insurance.

Ability to travel. This job entails a lot of travel, around the southern California area.

• Cable, Internet & Satellite Field Service Technicians: 1 year (Preferred)
• Scissor lift: 1 year (Preferred)
