
Advantage Engineers
The primary purpose of the Field Supervisor is to provide project support and be responsible for field visits, site inspection, documentation, and communication of their findings.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Field Assignments/Procedures:
- Responsible for site construction support, which may include supervising the installation of towers, mounts, antennas, feed lines, electronic cabinets, shelters, generators, HVAC, utilities, etc., for the construction of wireless communication sites.
- Conduct initial site walks, including design assistance with A&E review & approval of construction drawings and RFDS to develop Scope document.
- Complete power application and coordinate utility site visits.
- Coordinate and schedule Alternative Access Vendor “AAV” fiber walks
- Create a Bill of materials for each site and manage procurement and delivery.
- Conduct bid walks.
- Compile site information and complete NTP package as required.
- Conduct pre-construction meetings. Set and enforce construction schedules. Provide daily/weekly status updates.
- Supervise the construction activities of GCs and subcontractors.
- Manage deliverables of construction closeout documents, including all 3rd party testing, punch lists, and permit closures.
- Closely adheres to all safety standards and procedures.
- Identifies gaps in safety standards as well as safety risks in the environment and provides recommendations to higher-level technical staff and management.
- Ensure that work conforms to Company standards and Quality plans.
- Understand client objectives/quality standards and ensure work is completed in accordance with these standards.
Project Schedules/Deliverables:
- Under the supervision of your manager, submit bid documents to approved general contractors and coordinate all aspects of the bid process, including scheduling the bid walk, review of bids, production of a bid package, and contractor recommendation.
- Assist the Manager in developing and monitoring the construction schedule for each site; this includes permitting, materials availability, contractor availability, utility provisioning, cost efficiency, property owner availability, and any other variables.
- Complete assignments in the specified time periods requested while ensuring accuracy, completeness, quality
