Field Tech Assistant | $20+

NW Employment Solutions is partnered with a local Telecom and Utilities Construction company, and we are looking to add Field Walkout Technicians to their team!

The Field Walkout Technician is responsible for developing an estimate of how much a project will cost, how long until completion, cost of project and revenue generated.

The Estimator will take into account such factors as labor costs, material costs, equipment rentals, special software and hardware, project location, permitting, and licensing.

***This position consists of heavy data entry and phone communications in an office setting***

Pay: $20.00-$24.00/hr DOE
Locations: Apply for Aurora, Millersburg, or East Portland!
Shift: M-F | 8am-5pm

Responsibilities:

• Gather essential information, blueprints and proposals for every job.

• Collaborate with the customer and the sales personnel, as needed, to ensure that he/she has a clear understanding of the work to be performed.
• Calculate expenses by analyzing labor, equipment, material and time requirements of project or job.
• Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors.
• Maintain a record of all projects and their various stages of the bid process.
• Attend all required bid walks, meetings and conference calls related to the bid process.
• Verification of all licensing and permitting required to complete the project.
• Must work in a team environment that requires regular communication and consulting with other employees, vendors, and clients

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
• Knowledge of Telecommunications preferred
• Relevant estimating certifications preferred
• Two years minimum of related experience is preferred
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a heavy workload on a daily basis

Benefits: All employees are eligible for the 401(k) plan immediately. PTO is 10 days with 5 days designated as Sick hours – front loaded, and there is a $1,000 sign-on bonus payable at $500 after 90 days and $500 after 180 days of active employment.
