This Finance Manager role is to support the Finance Director of International Markets and to provide reporting and business support to the Capita Germany team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly forecasting and annual business planning processes forming part of a c.€160m revenue business.
• Perform month end including producing flash, month end and business reviews reports.
• Perform and take full ownership for the integrity and accuracy for the business unit P&L and balance sheet.
• Own working capital and cash for business unit, providing accurate forecasts on a monthly basis and ensuring tight control of work in progress & debt.
• Liaise with the Division / Group teams (consolidation, tax, audit and reporting teams) and respond to ad-hoc and routine queries on time.
• Business partnering with operational team over forecasts – implement process improvements to increase forecasting accuracy.
• Manage the Local HGB audit in a timely and efficient manner.
• Support the Growth team with insight and challenge.
• Manage the finance team comprising of financial controllers, AP, and AR.

Qualifications and skills essential for the role:

• Qualified Accountant with a strong technical finance background through education and experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good knowledge of accounting standards.
• Ability to prepare highly professional presentations to senior management while being able to communicate effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• The ability and willingness to quickly understand, apply and work to improve processes and systems.
• Confident to work with and challenge senior business executives.
• Excellent attention to detail with an ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Able to use initiative (and advice of others) to identify new solutions.
• Ability to manage own workload and prioritise effectively.
• Ability to manage people.
• Knowledge of SAP and Axiom would be advantageous.
• Language requirements: fluent in German and English.
