POSITION OVERVIEW

BDC is in the process of updating its infrastructure to meet the growing telecommunications and data protection needs. The implementation of new technologies is required to accelerate innovation and time-to-market by fostering resilience, agility and consolidation of the IT workload.

Our team is responsible for the telecom, telephony, virtualization, storage and backup infrastructure at BDC. It consists of about twenty people from these diverse areas of expertise, who work together as a team to execute various projects, as well as to support the BDC’s production.

We are looking for a candidate with experience in financial analysis to join our team and be part of this exciting transformation.


CHALLENGES TO BE MET

The Financial Analyst has the following responsibilities for the Telecom Team:

  • Provide financial information necessary for strategic investment decisions;

  • Assist the Director in ensuring optimal workforce planning for IT operational and strategic priorities;

  • Proactively support the management of recurring costs and plan for future financial activities to ensure financial capacity;

  • Act as a single point of contact to increase collaboration and communication with finance stakeholders.


ORDER AND INVOICE MANAGEMENT

  • Make purchases of equipment and prepare purchase orders;

  • Check invoices and identify irregularities;

  • Ensure rigorous follow-up of invoice processing;

  • Participate in the annual budget planning process, monitor administrative costs according to the budget;

  • Monthly invoice analysis to ensure the accuracy of goods and services invoiced.


COMMUNICATION WITH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL PARTNERS

  • Organize meetings and follow up with suppliers;

  • Analyze the submissions received ;

  • Monitor all contracts relating to activities;

  • Communicate with internal partners and suppliers to provide information or to clarify contractual clauses;

  • Collaborate with the procurement team during the procurement and renewal process.


TELEPHONY

  • Assign phone numbers and order or cancel phone lines;

  • Taking inventory: Order new lines, cancel lines that are no longer in use, transfer analog lines to SIP;

  • Assist the teams and carry out the necessary research and analysis concerning the telephony and internet services of each branch.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Diploma of College Studies in Office Organization or Business Administration;

  • Five years of experience in an administrative support position;

  • Strong coordination skills, including the ability to organize work and manage multiple priorities;

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with external and internal stakeholders;

  • Great attention to detail, concern for a job well done and professionalism;

  • Excellent communication and writing skills in both French and English;

  • Good knowledge of the softwares – Word/Excel/PowerPoint;

  • Knowledge of ServiceNow;

  • Team spirit, efficiency and being able to adapt quickly;

  • Resourceful, autonomous and dynamic.
