Palmetto Engineering & Consulting, Inc, a professionally licensed engineering and consulting firm, specializing in industrial electrical and telecommunications disciplines, is currently seeking to hire a GIS Specialist. QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:*
- Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
- Proficiency in the use of ESRI GIS software: ArcPro, Collector, ArcOnline, ArcGIS Desktop 10.x, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server and/or MS Excel preferred.
- Outside Plant Telecom work experience and/or knowledge helpful.
- Experience in designing and documenting Outside Plant Copper or Fiber Optic Cable facilities (UG, Aerial, Buried).
- Knowledge of construction practices and techniques related to utility work.
- Familiarity in obtaining Permits including railroad, highway, pipeline, etc.
- Ability to complete work according to customer specifications and requirements.
- Must be able to work independently, travel weekly to job site as needed, possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a substance abuse screening test.
HOURS:
Typically, Monday through Thursday; 10-hour days
COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
Salary dependent upon education, experience and credentials; Benefits package includes Health, Dental, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance; 401K, ESOP and Section 125 Plan.
