The Global Payroll Assistant will be a member of the International Human Resources (IHR) team at GDIT. Support non-U.S. payrolls across the enterprise. Assist with coordination of payroll funding and disbursement to ensure timely reporting to local authorities and pay delivery to employees. Help coordinate and track services with vendors, and functional partners such as Finance, Treasury, Accounts Payable. Coordinate, track, and process invoices and internal financial allocations. Coordinate with Benefits for payroll joiner, leaver, and plan changes. Data entry for payroll records and Human Resource Information System (HRIS), generation of reports, and soft- and hard-copy records management. Process payroll forms including for Joiners and Leavers via the department’s shared e-mail account, and with vendors.

Duties Include

  • Assist with payroll funding and disbursement according to global payroll calendar:
    • Monitor payroll records and approval on Global payroll system, as well as any prefunding for the disbursements needed
    • Report any discrepancy of funding and or delay in approval
    • Track the disbursements and the releases
    • Communicate any delays in advance of occurrence with other responsible parties and employees
    • Resolve any delays in prefunding or delivery to employees or authorities
    • Post files to File Share platforms
  • Pay cycle collection and reporting of Benefit plan joiners, leavers, and changes impacting payroll
  • Maintain travel expense records and coordinate with stakeholders for administration with local accounting and payroll providers
  • Maintain records including HRIS, Shared Network folders, SharePoint, and Sharefile;
  • Coordinate and track team e-mail account;
    • Maintain the POC lists for employee and vendor groups per country
    • Maintain Global payroll the outlook calendar annually based on Global Payroll System outputs
      • Coordinate with Global payroll vendor for annual updates
      • Coordinate with IHR for internal annual process updates
      • Generate reports for internal and external use; and
      • Back-up support to other IHR team members for other duties.

      Requirements Qualifications

      • H.S. diploma plus 2+ years of related experience in general payroll, and banking / funding for disbursement.
      • Must be fluent in Spanish
      • Required Technical Skills: Payroll software, Workday, MS Office especially Excel, SharePoint and other records and collaboration systems.
      • Strong organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills.

      The likely hourly rate for this position is between $18.40 – $27.60, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
