Essential Responsibilities
Safe and efficient operation of excavators, backhoes, trenchers, dozers, cable plows, etc.
Provide light maintenance and routine service to equipment
Operates equipment, hand tools and lifts heavy items (up to 50 pounds)
Reads underground utility locates and ensures safe digging practices are always being adhered to
Maintains a healthy and safe work environment for the crew, the public, the customer, and Ledcor
Works as a part of an overhead telecom line crew and assists with restoring job sites back to their original state
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in Heavy Equipment operation
Must possess a valid driver’s CDL license. Valid Class A CDL with documented past experience is required
Experience with safely operating a variety of large and small power equipment, light vehicles and properly tow/back-up trailers
Experience in Telecommunications Construction heavily favored
Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental protection practices and procedures
Able to perform work on uneven surfaces
Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple project stakeholders, interpret stakeholders’ needs, and identify solutions
Work Conditions
Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
