Currently Hiring Telecommunications Technicians for a long term opportunity up to $32.00/hr

Job Duties:
Install, mount and service cabling infrastructure and devices for Data, Audio Visual, and CCTV; includes pre-wiring, installation, termination, testing, reporting, and labelling per specifications and drawings

Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms

Ensure that safety and incident reporting procedures are followed

Complete detailed and accurate paperwork

Interact with customers and prospects, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally

Travel and overtime may be requested with this position on an ad hoc basis

Skills & Qualifications:
This person must have strong communication and be self motivated

This person must have experience with Card Reader Installation

It is important they are able to deal with the end client in a confident manner

3-5 years experience in telecommunications

Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction sites to finished corporate offices

Comfortable working at heights

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail

Must be bondable and willing to submit to a background check

Strong problem solving skills

Candidate must have driver’s license and vehicle as not all sites are transit accessible

Lift experience (boom lift/scissor lift primarily, also have aerial lift) as they use lifts and ladders. If your ticket is expired, that’s okay

Work Environment:
Monday to Friday – day shift typically is 7:00 or 7:30am start time

Occasionally after-hours and OT is required, mostly at YVR

Various residential and commercial sites across the lower mainland – Current sites: Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond. Candidates will need to be okay with travelling anywhere in lower mainland for work. Most jobs are within Vancouver and Burnaby area. Few jobs in the Fraser Valley.
