In this role, you will:

– Deliver full cycle recruitment program for continued growth by writing and posting jobs for vacant roles, screening resumes, and conducting interviews
– Manage arrival and departure process for employees including new hires and departure communications, delivering first day/first week orientation to new hires, and conducting exit interviews.
– Work with managers to resolve any employee issues and conflicts, and bring them to resolution; oversee employee disciplinary meetings, and terminations
– Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents and benefits
– Management, maintain and collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to ensure accurate employee data in our HRIS and benefits platform
– Create, update, maintain and support company policies and procedures across the board, with a dedication to a continuation of employee development
– Actively promote a safe workplace through participating in the Joint Health & Safety Committee
– Prepare, educate and administration of employee benefits and all company and HR policies
– Provide recommendations for policies and procedures working to create accountabilities to drive projects to closure
– HR reporting, policy development and compliance in accordance with applicable legislation, policies, procedures
– Disability management – Short-term/long-term disability, WorkSafe BC and Return-to-Work.
– Active involvement in other aspects of the business as required

The ideal candidate brings:

– Diploma/Degree in Human Resources Management, Labour or Industrial Relations or a related field from a recognized College/University. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
– 3-years’ working experience Human Resources
– Strong computer skills particularly working within the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
– Strong understanding knowledge of Provincial and Federal Government regulations for Canada Labour Code and BC Employment Standards Act
– Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality when working with sensitive information
– Ability to research and create appropriate HR related files and documents in accordance with the Public Service Act, Human Resources Manual, and other applicable resources
– Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing with a client focused mentality
– Strong clerical and administrative abilities (filing, record keeping, and payroll – both electronic and hard copy).

Assets:

– Experience working with HUMI HRIS
– Experience in the Telecommunications and construction industry
– Experience working with federal regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
