ICT Specialist (for Philippine Residents ONLY)

Job Purpose

ICT Specialist manages and organizes all ICT systems and services in the location where s/he is posted. S/he assists the ICT Manager in designing and installing ICT infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible in providing technical support
• Regular maintenance and monitoring of network infrastructure & systems
• Maintenance of telecommunication setup
• Inventory and asset/equipment management
• Responsible for installing or upgrading components, setting up software, assisting with network/server administration, and resolving all IT support issues
• Regularly evaluating IT systems to ensure they meet the necessary demands
• Evaluate connectivity issues, equipment, and software and hardware.
• Respond to IT issues; hardware maintenance, software, networking, etc.
• Provide helpdesk and technical support either by phone, remote access, or onsite
• Oversee troubleshooting for system errors
• Set up equipment for new employees

Selection Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in information technology, computer engineering, computer science, or similar field of study
• Very good ICT knowledge plus good communication skills, both verbal and written
• 3 – 4 years’ troubleshooting experience in an area of the ICT service catalogue (e.g. workplace services, telecommunications, IT, helpdesk, etc.)
• Have both good work ethics and analytical skills, able to work in teams as well as independently
• Well organized, able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize, capacity to work under pressure
• Good history of continuous education and proven drive to increase skill set
• Certifications or Knowledge of FortiNet devices, Cisco Unified Communication (UC) – “SIP”, SDWAN, Network & System/Server administration are an asset
• Experience in Networking and System/Server Administration are a plus
• 1 year of people-management experience is a strong asset.
