The Role
Chicago Pneumatic Tools (CP) is a worldwide leader for air tools in different markets, which includes the AWS (Vehicle Service) and GI (Industrial) markets. We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative to drive profitable growth and market share. Join our team and make a difference every day!
This position requires the individual to focus on outbound sales calls to distributors. Must always, represent themselves as a helpful, knowledgeable representative for the Chicago Pneumatic family of brands, products, parts, and services. This individual must be self-motivated and have good communication skills.

- Develop action plans and schedules to identify specific sales prospects, targets, and/or markets and to project number of contacts to be made.
- Prospect, source, and maintain quality customers in assigned area. Manage, and sell directly to customers and distributors in assigned area. Follow up on new leads and referrals.
- Identifies future product and customer needs and communicates the information to the National Account Manager Team Leader and appropriate Product Manager(s).
- Provide technical assistance to customers in the selection of tools, parts and accessories, and application knowledge for all CP brands of products.
- Provide feedback on distributor / customer reaction to CP and competitor’s programs.
- Prepare and provide a monthly report for the area to the National Sales Manager. Maintain an updated customer contact list for the purpose of the Net Promoter Score (NPS) program.

What we expect of you?
Technical Capability
- Strong and effective capability with Microsoft Office software programs, CRM and Salesforce.
- Capability to utilize telecommunication software (Zoom, Teams) to host virtual meetings, provide online training, conduct virtual product demonstrations, and chat live online with customers to answer technical questions and develop these chats into leads.
- Capability to utilize audio and video equipment to help develop unique and creative product solution like videos for informing, promoting, or training purposes.
- Capability to utilize social media (Facebook, You Tube, Twitter, Linked-In) to promote, market, and prospect customers on the CP product portfolio
Experience
- 2+ years in Inside Sales with focus on B2B Sales & Customer Relations Management
- 2+ yrs. of technical experience in an Industrial or Automotove Aftermarket
Education
- 2 – 4 year Technical Degree
- High School Diploma or equivalent years of experince
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Communicating with Distributor Partners and Customers via all communication channels
- Capability to make creative solutions based on the product portfolio.
- Expert in setting up all products in the portfolio for optimal performance.
- Ability to motivate, review pipeline opportunities, create a strategy plan of action and develop an effective cadence of communication with regional rep sales force
