Position Summary

The Installation Manager supports the organization’s mission, vision, goals, and values by providing overall leadership and supervisory direction, coordination, support, planning, and organization to all team members within the Installation Division in support of the installation, service, and solutions required under contracts with installation/service providers. The primary goal for this position is to ensure all ShawnTech employees assigned accomplish the successful installation and compliance of all customer contract requirements.

Strategic/logical direction in complying with this requirement will be ongoing program management and communication/leadership to all team members. Specific goals on installation will be carried out through program management of resources/talents, training, team conference calls, team building, quality control, and ensuring the teams has the necessary resources to perform their duties. The position requires the Installation Manager to be skilled in instituting a lean operation using techniques to implement budget management/reconciliation, cost control, operational planning, employee management, process management/improvement, customer relationship management, and process optimization. Key Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Lead, direct, and manage the field team members of ShawnTech to maximize revenue, lower cost to serve, and maximize customer satisfaction with accountability including budgetary management.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures, policies, and performance standards with reporting metrics for the Installation Operations.
  • Ensure that ShawnTech maintains contractual obligations and evaluate contract performance to ensure customer expectations meet contract guidelines.
  • Implement improved processes and program management methods to generate higher ROI and workflow optimization.
  • Work closely with all departments for continuous improvement of processes and systems.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to all team members.
  • Develop and nurture strong customer communications with client contacts and maintain positive relationships with regards to scheduling and movements of team members.
  • Participates with management to ensure the utilization of existing resources is optimized and future workforce planning is effective to meet the growing needs of the organization.
  • Executing and managing a departmental Training Plan, Safety Program, and internal project management training for the Installation Operations
  • Participating in the interviewing, selection, facility background screening process, and onboarding of new hires in the Installation Operations
  • Reviewing and approving expense reporting control, processes and procedures
  • Managing, maintaining and documenting disciplinary and performance issues in a timely manner and consulting with human resources on all disciplinary actions.
  • Managing, reviewing and approving timecard and time off requests.
  • Ensure semi-annual reviews are conducted within specific time periods.
  • Coordinate and lead weekly team meetings among various and all installation teams.
  • Assisting the VP of Operations and Finance with investigating and securing licensing requirements.
  • Participate with project-based pricing for installation surveys.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required to meet corporate goals.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/ or a minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a related industry.
  • At least 3 years leading and directing team members as required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • The successful candidate will have knowledge of telecommunications related technology for correctional facilities, and experience managing large scale implementation projects.

Travel Required
Occasional travel- You will be expected to travel for this position as needed.
