Instrument Technician (F/M/D)

The position

• support scientists and engineers in designing, assembling, and installing scientific devices for the SQS instrument
• development and setup mechanical structures at the instrument
• preparation and maintenance of SQS instrument components for user operation
• maintenance of vacuum system at the SQS instrument
• Provide hands-on support for mechanical construction work
• support in adapting external equipment to the SQS instrumentation

Requirements

• certified Mechanical Technician or equivalent qualification
• experience in assembling, testing, diagnosing and maintaining precision mechanics
• basic CAD knowledge
• Experience in metal processing
• knowledge of English (professional working proficiency is beneficial as English is our company language)
• communicative and collaborative personality
• previous working experience in research and development or in a scientific environment is an advantage
• experience in working with ultra-high vacuum equipment, in handling of sample gases and/or metal working is an asset
