We are going through a period of rapid growth and expansion and have a new and very exciting opportunity for an IP Design Specialist to work within VBSE.
Join VBSE for Vodafone UK and be heavily embedded in providing world-class Secure Solutions for our Enterprise clients. As we strive to keep ourselves ahead of the game and the threats, you will lead the way in Telecommunications and work with the latest technologies.
Work as part of a team of IP Design Specialists to design and build a range of managed IP networks and services across multiple customers.
What will you be doing?
- Design and build of customer IP networks covering managed WAN, LAN, routing, switching, network security and encryption services
- Create detailed customer design documentation, equipment configurations and technical as built documentation
- Provide network design consultancy to pre sales, project teams and external stakeholders
- Provide 3rd line support for managed networks to internal operations team
Who are we looking for?
- Experience in the design and delivery of network solutions involving Cisco routing, switching and network security products and Juniper SRX firewalls
- Solid understanding of a variety of IP network and routing protocols
- Experience in configuring and utilising network management and monitoring tools
- Demonstrable troubleshooting skills and approach to fault resolution
- Desirable (but not essential) to have knowledge and working experience of Nokia networking products
- Must have or be able to obtain DV Clearance*
* DV clearance, formally known as Developed Vetting, is the highest classification of security clearance that you can gain in the UK. Please note you must be eligible or already obtain DV clearance in order to proceed to interview*
