It Field Support Engineer

IT Field Support – Large Telecommunications group – 30-32k + Van + Bonus + Extensive Benefits

Location – Reading & South region – AD-Hoc travel to company sites in the South of the UK

The IT & Network division is an integral cog in the wheel that keeps the group moving, and in order for them to push forward at a rapid pace, it’s essential that their local office network equipment is managed and maintained efficiently.

Although you’ll be based in one of our regional offices (Telford), you’ll be supporting with the installation and maintenance for all of our offices, alongside the rest of our IT team.

You’ll already have some on-site IT support and very general networking experience, working to tight deadlines, using your proactive and technical mindset to provide support and help resolve issues across offices.

This is a people facing role and you’ll be interacting daily with your peers across the organisation, so it’s really important that you have strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to confidently communicate with people at all levels.

Some of the things you’ll also look after day to day are:

• Setting up monitoring for key systems as they deploy – with alerts to the IT Service Desk
• Updating our software asset management when inventory items are installed at sites, or moved to new offices
• Offering break fix support to site staff (remotely and on-site)
• resolving any office network cable issues
• Resolving any wi fi issues.
• installing CCTV
