Our Client, a Fortune-500 telecom provider, has an opening for an IT Project Manager focusing in the migration of Networks, Domains and E-Mails.

This role will be fully remote within the US.

Pay range is $55-65/hr on W2.

Targeting 4-7 years of experience performing network and domain migrations. Mergers & Acquisition experience as a PM or analyst, as a PM in infrastructure based environments is a bonus

The soft skills are critical: fast learner, self starter, well spoken, ability to multi-task.

This group has a waterfall based approach. They are a google suite based shop using Smartsheets and this role will be involved in migrations to google suite for 6-7 different acquisitions at once. This is around 1 part of the M&A process, not the entire thing.

· Project:

o There will not be any standing up of data centers or decommissioning old applications.

o This work is all considered “Day 1” M&A work so it will consist of migrating to MSI’s systems like domain, email, and other services.

o M&A work is usually divided up into a couple phases.

§ There is “Day 1” work that is required to be done before an acquired company can be part of MSI (migrated to MSI network, email, etc.).

§ It’s the foundational items that must be in place for a company to say they are part of MSI. That’s the type of work this person will be doing.

§ More specifically, as of right now, this person will be focusing on domain and mail migration from the acquired company’s current systems to MSI.

· Job Description:

IT Project Manager – Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures with a strong preference for Mergers & Acquisitions integration experiences.

This role includes overall project management, communications, developing and maintaining processes and procedures, etc. as well as facilitating the project teams’ daily work and removing obstacles or impediments faced by the team.
Department/project overview

Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures is fast-paced with many mini projects, processes and procedures, and collaboration internally and externally. There are many moving parts and workstreams to keep track of and tight timelines. At any given time, there are multiple acquisition integrations in progress; this adds to the number of projects to be managed simultaneously.

Seeking a IT Project Manager II – 4 to 7 years of experience focusing largely on infrastructure oriented, covering Day1 employee on-boarding, mail & file migration, securing the current environment (PC, servers, external websites, engineering IP), network integration, compute/servers, PC & Service Desk integration projects.

Role & Duties:

· Lead assigned smaller M&A Integration projects, including security and Engineering integration

· Follow up on various Mergers and Acquisitions efforts by various teams to obtain status.
Independently leads multiple small to medium sized waterfall projects simultaneously
Supports MA&D Leads in all program governance activities

· Proactively works with all tech leads and project resources to resolve issues and remove roadblocks.

· Confidently leads and facilitates all status meetings, recording and following up on action items, decisions, risks, and issues.

· Prepare and present status updates to leadership and project stakeholders.

· Develop and improve project plan workflow through full project lifecycle from discovery to closure.

· Creates and logs new processes and procedures, reports, and project artifacts. Ensure electronic documentation repository is up to date for all project documentation, business/technology documents related to initiatives/projects/programs.

· Coaching teams through the project workflow and ensuring resources are available and delivering on time.

· Ensure overall successful project execution (on-time, on-budget, high quality, meeting business outcomes)

· Collaborate with IT leadership, business representatives, MA&D teams, and external suppliers to define and prioritize initiatives.

· Manage schedule, working with vendors and internal teams to ensure proper resource capacity to meet demand.

Expected Skills:

· Analytical skills – ability to perceive and analyze problems, develop alternatives and recommend sound decisions

· People skills – a combination of skills including an ability to ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions and resolve conflicts. Strong engagement with business stakeholders is key.

· Project management skills – ability to drive & lead meetings independently, create and execute project plans, proactively manage risks/issues, maintain compliance with company project management processes. Ability to keep the project team and also the business held accountable on tasks simultaneously.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills: Identifies opportunities or problems and acts quickly and decisively to respond to the situation. Ability to drive productive conversations and team meetings. Active listening skills.

· Proficient in basic Google Applications (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and project management software.

· Experience using Waterfall methodologies on projects.

· Self motivated and able to work independently

· Very strong team player, able to foster teamwork and a positive working environment to the project team. Ability to organize and lead teams through ambiguity and develop a structure for various workstreams.

· Highly organized, strong detailed documentation and communication skills.

· Recognize and deal appropriately with confidential and sensitive information.
