Job Summary

Edwards Interiors is seeking an IT Support Technician. The applicant will play a vital role in administering computer devices and the company network. Applicant must be trustworthy, reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Applicant will work closely with all staff and a positive attitude and self-motivation is a plus. The applicant will be responsible for providing excellent Windows IT – Tier 1 support to 200+ local users. The applicant will report to the I.T. Director.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Working with, maintaining, and upgrading PC, Mac, laptop, network, and server hardware and software applications, other desktop technical equipment and accessories, and general office equipment (e.g., printers, fax machines)
• Providing general Desktop Support to end users in such areas as hardware, application, printer, telecom, etc. support
• Creating Windows User accounts on Single On-Prem Domain and M365 cloud environment using Azure AD sync
• Configuring Windows network shares and mapping network drives
• Microsoft Office troubleshooting/administration
• Windows 10 Professional imaging/administration
• Providing break/fix repairs
• Checking, logging, administering Daily Backup jobs
• Troubleshooting computer hardware components

Requirements

• Highschool diploma
• Understanding and knowledge of TCP/IP and current WiFi protocols
• Working knowledge of DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Hyper-V, Group Policy, SQL database a plus
• Understanding of CAT5e/CAT6 splicing/cabling
• Certifications preferred but not required: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, MCP, CCNA, or CCNP. Applicant should prepare for and obtain a minimum of the CompTIA A+ certification within 180 days of employment.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge with Microsoft technologies (Microsoft365, SQL Server, Active Directory, and Windows Networking); Hyper-V or equivalent software; security; centralized automated management of workstations and servers; MDM technologies a plus.
• On occasion, must be able to work weekends and after hours on short notice
