Job Description:
Job Summary: This position reports to the Director of Telecommunications. The Telecom Administrator will support processes associated with circuit ordering, canceling, billing and contracting. Additional responsibilities include ticket assignments, budget monitoring, pager assignments and assisting with maintaining equipment databases.
Primary Responsibilities:
Routinely communicates with the Telecom Director and others as appropriate, regarding department functions and the status of various programs, services, and financial objectives. (essential)
Works to maintain Telecom Department SLA timelines for call backs, installations and problem resolutions. Responsible for accurate ticket reporting. (essential)
Processes all circuit orders and cancellations in the BILH Enterprise TEM (Telecom Expense Management). Verifies sign offs have been obtained and reviews future invoices for accuracy. (essential)
Issues pagers, maintains pager data base, directory and par levels. Documents/records all changes appropriately in order to resolve any billing issues relating to pager utilization. Assists with the editing and preparation and issuance of the annual paging directory. Administers daily pager exchanges. (essential)
Tracks the entire purchase process for all telecom related orders. The Telecom Administrator will work with the Telecom team to obtain quotes, then with the BILH IT Finance team to obtain purchase orders. The Administrator will also verify delivery of products. (essential)
The Telecom Administrator will work with corporate communications to alert of any planned or unplanned phone outages needing to be announced within BILH. (essential)
Assists the Director of Telecommunications with capital and operating budgets. Keeps running spreadsheets for year to year comparisons. (essential)
Maintains calendars for contracts, certificates, patching times, EOL products and other time sensitive telecom department items. (essential)
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree preferred. 1-3 years related work experience required in in an administrative position dealing with Telecom Expense Management (TEM). Advanced technical computer skills as required for technical support specific to functional area and related systems.
