An employer is looking for a Service Fulfillment Network Engineer to work in Charlotte, NC. This person will be providing high level technical turn ups and provisioning as well as customer service within the Network Service Fulfillment team to ensure that service requests are seen through to completion. Specifically, this will include provisioning of new Internet and Ethernet Transport services for Carrier and Enterprise customer orders (new, MAC, disconnects), reviewing orders, preparing CPE equipment for deployment, and completing preinstalls, performing Service Activation Testing (SAT) to validate circuits using RFC2544 and/or Y.1564, providing customer support during the turnup process, and managing and coordinating 3rd party vendors/suppliers on handling escalated issues through to resolution. This person will be hands on with the configuration of equipment, which includes Ciena, Cisco IOS, and Cisco IOS-XR devices. This position will also be responsible for certifying new devices and configurations to be deployed into the network. Overall, the role of the Service Fulfillment Engineer is to be committed to following up on field operations’ equipment installations to then fulfill all services requested and work directly over the phone with customers to resolve any remaining issues. Manual configurations of network routers and switches along with in depth troubleshooting of data networks will fall under this person’s responsibilities, as well as partnering with the NOC. It is essential that this person be an excellent communicator and seeking to work a standard shift of Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM. Lastly, a CCNA will be required for this role, and a CCNP will be strongly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
