A leading telecommunications client is looking for an Jr. Network Technician in the Denver, CO area. You will be a part of the Ethernet Access Team working with external customers of a large telecommunications company. Your main responsibilities will include operating and maintaining IP network platforms, developing operational methods and procedures, and coordinating and performing maintenance and migration activities. You will be working with customers on a variety of issues and then bringing the issues back to internal employees and driving the tickets to resolution with vendors and internal groups. Communicating and following up with customers in a professional and efficient manner will be a top priority in this position.
On site training will be required for the first couple of months, but you will transition to a mostly remote model from there.
Must Haves:
- Elite customer service skills and phone etiquette
- Strong interest in IT and networking (troubleshooting, routing and switching, network protocols, telecommunications, etc.
- Comfortable working within multiple systems at once/multi-tasking skills
- Experience working within a ticketing system (Cherwell, Remedy, ServiceNow, Salesforce, or similar tool)
Plusses
- Related certifications: A+, Network+, CCENT or CCNA
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
