At Kinetix Solutions, we’re looking for a hands-on network solutions engineer to help us drive Azure virtualization and SAN storage into larger accounts, as well as assisting with existing client networks and storage infrastructures.
As part of the Kinetix Solutions team, you’ll be directly supporting Presales in large transactions and guiding field engineers with existing accounts. Activities will include supporting existing Microsoft Azure AD networks, Cloud and System Backups, Firewall and Switch Management, Advanced Networking, Remote Support, email and data migrations, and doing custom integration and automation work, and more.
Our ideal Networking Engineer will be a subject matter expert of Azure Virtual SAN, switches, firewalls, security, etc. The candidate must have a solid engineering background to be comfortable with hands-on technical work, as well as excellent skills to interact with customers and field personnel.
Your specific duties in this role will include:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM, etc.)
- Configure and setup Cisco/FortiGate Firewalls, VPN Concentrators and Security appliances for access to vital business applications
- Design, setup and configure complex switching environments
- Design, setup and configure complex wireless networking that supports open or secured access and the ability to support voice and video applications
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Local Area Networking
- Assist in the design of multi-server environments including IP address schemes, DNS, WINS, Ether-Channel (Bonding), etc.
- Configuring and installing client and server network software for upgrading and maintaining network and telecommunication systems.
- Maintaining multi-site network operations and software applications, operating systems and regular maintenance with both private and public facilities
- Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
- Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and etc. to provide technical assistance and support
- Supervising the administration of systems and servers related network to ensure availability of services to authorized users.
- Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.
- Provide direct assistance to presales efforts, acting as storage and availability domain SME with Virtual SAN product/feature expertise and comprehensive knowledge of IT enabling technologies in customer deployment scenarios.
- Assist in responding to RFPs for select opportunities.
- Remotely manage/assist with lengthy and challenging customer PoCs as needed that could benefit from an ongoing VM engagement.
- Create solution reference architecture, best practices, performance characteristics, and other technical assets to guide field implementation
- Assist communication of product capabilities and participate in knowledge transfer events to the field primarily in terms of training-the-trainers
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57,230.75 – $87,840.27 per year

Experience:
- Computer networking: 2 years (Preferred)
