The team you’ll be part of

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

You will be part of the 5G mobile network Layer 3 (Control Plane) SW Development in Ulm joining a highly motivated intercultural team. In a self-organized SCRUM team you will develop and deliver 5G Layer 3 features for the Nokia 5G radio base station.

What you will learn and contribute to

The Mobile Networks Layer 3 (Control Plane) SW R&D in Ulm is looking for an ambitious software developer with proven or strong C++ skills

Are you passionate about solving problems?
As part of our team, you will:

• design, implement and maintain high availability base station SW
• ensure quality of own code through code reviews, unit-and system component testing
• refine, estimate and plan the work for the next sprint
• create R&D documentation as well as support the requirements engineering

Your skills and experience

You have:

• proven skills in C++ programming, using C++ templates, lambda functions and polymorphism and passion about programming with C++ standard 11, 14, 17 and beyond
• experience in unit test frameworks gtest and gmock, source version control systems, Linux environment
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunication
• good communication skills in English (both written and spoken) and basic communication skills in German

It would be nice if you also have:

• a lean and agile mindset with experience in SW development with SCRUM
• readiness to work in an international multi-site environment
• passion about the Clean Code principles
• a cooperative mindset and a team player mentality
• will to take responsibility
