We have an immediate need for a Junior Telecom Engineer responsible for outside plant engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Field surveys of both aerial and underground cable infrastructure of Outside/Inside Plant
• Conduct surveys of pole lines for the installation of new cable
• Conduct building surveys in order to determine routing and riser requirements
• Prepare cable design drawings in AutoCAD/Visio
• Attend construction meetings for site inspection
• Ensure design specifications are followed and maintained throughout the project build cycle
• Coordinate with contractors, property owners, municipalities and clients
• Update systems and databases
• Organized, self-starter who can communicate via phone and email
• Willingness to grow & learn in Telecommunications design

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent work experience
• Ability to work independently with general instructions/guidance from Project Managers
• Ability to meet deadlines
• High performing individual with strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in MS Suite and AutoCAD.
